![]() Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. We would also like to thank Arkansas Hospice, especially Sharon, Katie, Kari, Michelle and Jason for their outstanding care and concern. Jerry is also survived by brothers John, Bob and his wife Melba plus many nieces and nephews. They were his greatest joy on this earth. He leaves his wife of fifty years, Maribeth their three children: Lauribeth and husband Todd White, Amy and husband Phil Burgess, and Matthew Figgins and nine grandchildren: Maegan, Morgan and Austin White Keegan, Karsen and Jack Burgess Annabelle, Jerry and Claire Figgins. ![]() Jerry enjoyed raising Beefmaster cattle in his retirement years. Jerry's many awards and decorations include the Air Force Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Air Medal with one silver and four bronze oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. His favorite assignment was as Squadron Commander of the 61st TAS at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. He was honored to serve his country many places in the states and overseas. In 1962 Jerry was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, to which he dedicated his life for the next twenty-six years. Jerry was also a graduate of the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Army War College. While at Harding, Jerry was privileged to be on the first football team in 1959, making many lifelong friends and memories. He then attended Harding College, graduating in May 1960. He graduated from Caruthersville High School in May 1956. ![]() Figgins passed from this life on Augto be with his Lord and Savior. ![]()
